Tim began his financial planning career in 1994 with Regal Capital Planners, following completion of degrees in Kinesiology, Business Administration and Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan. Having received his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999, Tim and his team have specialized in offering advice driven solutions in the areas of retirement and pension-style investment planning. Tim has also worked as a provincial director of the Canadian Pension Benefits Institute and as well, has experience serving as a pension trustee for the City of Saskatoon going back to 1994. He’s been a proud member of ADVOCIS (Financial Advisors Assoc of Canada) since 1998. In that same year, Tim joined Brian Mallard and his team of specialized independent financial planners, where he became a shareholding partner within the firm in 2008.

Tim’s comprehensive team-oriented planning approach arose out his sport and athletic background, participating in Junior/College sports in hockey, football and baseball. He is member of the Saskatoon and Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame, as well as being honored on the University of Saskatchewan’s Athletic Wall of Fame in 1994. He is a former director with SaskSport, serving in the Prairie Central division. Tim has volunteered in a wide variety of community activities over the past 35 years, from serving as an inaugural member of both the Huskie Hockey and Football Alumni Association. He has volunteered in a wide variety of coaching roles in minor and HighSchool sports of all types, up to and including an assistant coaching role with the Vanier Cup winning Huskie Football team in the late 1980’s. He has also been integrally involved with the Saskatoon Contacts Hockey Club, including serving as Assistant Coach with the Telus Cup winning team in 2016. He has also worked as a Western Hockey League regional scout since 2016. Tim continues to sponsor and contribute volunteer time in Huskie Athletics as well with Kidsport, Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan, and ChocLaCure / Search for a Cure in the area of cancer research.

Tim is married to Cindy and together they have 2 sons, named Taylor and Keaton.
